Overview
✔ The FSSAI State License is issued by the state-level office of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
✔ FSSAI is responsible for setting food safety and standards in India and ensuring that food is safe, hygienic and of quality.
✔ To obtain an FSSAI State License, food businesses must meet certain criteria, having a minimum annual turnover of Rs. 12 lakhs to 20 crore, having a functional kitchen and storage facilities, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards, and using ingredients and food products that meet FSSAI standards.
✔ The FSSAI State License is valid for a period of 1 to 5 years and must be renewed periodically to maintain its validity.
